Axle/wheel hop?
I am experiencing quite a lot of axle/wheel hop when doing burnouts/donuts.
(had this also before the cusco lsd)
Like the whole rear axle start to shake and jump.
Tried setting my shocks soft/hard...no difference.
Also tried different tires...still there.

I read somewhere that traction brackets seem to help this problem.

This are the mods on the rear axle:
TRD 6k springs
Tokico HTS schoks
Cusco 2way lsd

Everything else is stock.
Got prothane bushings here for the 4links and getting a panhard rod soon.

But I was wondering if anybody knew where the problem lies exactly.

Lateral rod bushing need replacing, 100%, I see you have a prothane kit which will solve this. Wave

New bushings. The old ones are so bad they are binding and loading/unloading under acceleration causing wheel hop.

Traction brackets will also help a great deal by forcing the rear end to 'plant' the tires after correcting your suspension geometry from being lowered.

So, do both Smile

Traction brackets will INCREASE wheel hop (suspension basics).

More anti-squat --> more brake wheel hop.

Seems to concur with most reviews I've seen of traction brackets.. Tsuchiya himself likes his car better without them too.

Thanks for the replies guys. Going to try the new bushings and adjustable rod first and see if it helps.

@Jamie, if that is the case then I shouldn't have any wheelhop since my 4link bars are pointing up like in the first drawing. But I think I'll get some cheap traction brackets in a month or so to and see what happens. Smile

And are the rca's ready? I pm'ed you about them. Trying to get my car in a decent shape because my suspension geometry is all over the place... haha Banging head
