With my 3SGE in my old Celica it ran rich, during that time it used oil and went through the petrol alot...it was also stuborn during starting.
Stupid question but when you checked the dip stick the engine was cold and the car was sitting on a flat surface? I once read that you shouldnt believe everything you read. |

It was cold (checked it in the morning) and it was in my driveway which is only a minor slope, not enough to challenge the dipstick.

I havent had an opportunity as of yet to do an oil change. I bought all the bits for my service today though and am currently trying to allocate a day to et everything done. Since this problem came to my attention though it doesnt seem to be happening anymore. I could have just been dreaming it, since i've driven a good 200-300 odd miles since and the oil hasn't dropped at all. Either way it's time for a change.
