Ahh good spotting , I have 3 parts cars , my yellow tarmac rally car,the N2 car , also a mint standard GTV , and my daughter drives a red levin as well , so that makes 7! Smile Edit I forgot that I have a facelift panda as well so I suppose thats 8 Confused

The template is easy to make if you cut the floor first you can then trace that shape onto cardboard , just a bit of simple pattern making. You just need to plan out where the equal length top arms need to attach to the body shell , careful measuring and planing before cutting .
Maybe I could try and scan the one I made , but it would have to be in a couple of sections. What part of the world do you live in ?

Nice job on your 4 links. I've been trying to find a good way to attach mine to the body. How did you build your brackets? Are they reinforced or anything?

Top class build, ive been following this from the start and Im just wondering what is the advantage of the equal length arms? I know your building the car to N2 spec but im just wondering is there any advantage to them being used on a track car? Anybody building a group 4 escort put them in aswell, its just im at the fab stage of my build and I cant see the advantage of them....

The box it self is folded out of 1.2mm panel steel and a 2mm strap has been welded over the bolting point

The equal length arms should allow the diff to pivot without the head pivoiting in a different arc ( I hope that make sense) , but in saying that I have had no problems with my tarmac rally car ( I have kept this standard so it will comply with the classic rules when they finally allow ae86's )

Todays plan was to fit the engine in the hole finally , this motor has been sitting on the bench for about 6 months , I was going to take it inside put a sheet of glass on top of it and use it as a coffee table!
I had to mod the left hand engine mount a bit to fit past the dry sump pump bracket,

Nothing is as simple as it seems , the dry sump sits on the steering rack!!
So I will have to mod the front crossmember to sit the rack a bit lower, it needs to move about 10mm, I knew there is a reason to test fit everything

When I work out the best way to lower the rack I will fit up the Quaife quick rack that I have for this as well
