Hi

I want to introduce my project Smile. All started in 2007 when i bought my first car - ae86.
It was a stock hachi with 2,5inch custom made exhaust. I didn't know anything about motorsports. Now i know much more but.. sometimes I need some help.

<a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/GQwMnWMlGxFqfYbkWbPN-w?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/_Yp6Uk96jsSw/SeKT53rYgHI/AAAAAAAAAIs/oYJsKiBokP8/s800/IMG_0001.JPG"></a>

I sold my first 86 to Vilnius in Lithuania and bought another one in Poland.
The new one was better but still need a lot of work.

<a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/IT4orzMguU_QS1FzpnafUA?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/_Yp6Uk96jsSw/SeD8W66gzLI/AAAAAAAAAD0/Bj9c7EYfACk/s800/poprostu.jpg"></a>

<a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/zVR74EpUpSvW4936O7_GgQ?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/_Yp6Uk96jsSw/SeD8ZeBEm7I/AAAAAAAAAD8/5ac1m7thm-k/s800/western.jpg"></a>

<a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/gpN9uaz-O9xW-ldznT8M1A?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/_Yp6Uk96jsSw/SeD8N6iZHkI/AAAAAAAAADQ/jFQPuF5OYZw/s800/bok.jpg"></a>

<a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/0g8ExprTApX-Wo0iTqAiVA?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_Yp6Uk96jsSw/SeD8e1Zb1LI/AAAAAAAAAEM/xHpJaBhlja4/s800/sciana.jpg"></a>

<a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/N8UqGURX50VPbluLuif0KA?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/_Yp6Uk96jsSw/SeD8bv-3oCI/AAAAAAAAAEE/XuflzPwonok/s800/look.jpg"></a>

Generally, I've been having bad luck with this car.
The previous owner of the car hadn't told me that there was water inside cooling system. When temperatures under zero appeared... You know what happened...
I decided to change radiator (to much bigger from newer corolla), water pump, water lines and cooling fluid.

The next problem was overheating... Why? - Radiator cup was broken. I replaced it.

Then, everything seemed to be ok, but unfortunately, I had overheated the engine a couple of times...

About 2-3 months later my diff started to be very noisy Sad. My car was useful for 6 months! because I had to earn money for the repair.
I bought new 4,778 R&P, new diff bearings and washers to make lsd stronger.

<a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/JqTTsMdluJKQwQBh-q9w6g?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_Yp6Uk96jsSw/SeD-XQShhLI/AAAAAAAAAFY/XKYLHcQ1Jzk/s400/IMG_0477.jpg"></a>

At last I became a happy ae86 owner but... not for long... ;p
I went on holidays with my girlfriend. Hachi made about 1.5kkm. 100km from home.. the headgasket blew up ;(
Then I thought: "what to do? should I buy an engine or repair this one?"

Finally, I decided to make a bigger upgrade.

I'd like my ae86 to be a bit for drifting but more for street racing and track day.

Present plans:
- repair my engine
- new exhaust
- new suspension
- new brake rotors and pads
- strengthen shell a little

Sorry for my english...

Just keep at it! That headgasket blow up was to be expected after all the overheating, so after all you're still dealing with the effects of the same problem. Once you'll get all of it fixed it will be great. And this car is definitly well worth fixing!

Generally not bad Smile. In the city it drives very well, but outside the city... could be better  . I don't even think about highway. Anyway.. highway is boring cornres are lovely! Big Grin
I think R&P 4,778 it is a good choice for stock and a little tuned 4a-ge. I like it Smile.
