enine trouble
recently i discovered a different noise coming from my car like it was missing. i looked at the engine and realised that their was oil leaking from under the distributor cap. i think the seal might be gone on it. does anyone know how to replace this, and is it easy to get a new one. its a 86 4age engine by the way.

Loosen the 2 bolts holding the distributor. Pull out the distributor from the head and change the oil ring on the flange. Put the distributor back in and adjust the ignition. (OR mark the exact point where the distrubutor stands BEFORE disassembly)

mark distributor in relation to the head using white paint or puchmarks (this is so the ignition timing is not out when you replace the distributor)

however:

i dont think this would be a result of your distributor oil seal check all your ignition leads and spark plugs, check your distributor cap and rotor arm
and adjust your ignition timing

I would say, that they are pretty easy to get hold on. There are absolutely nothing special about it.
