Removing the TVIS on a stock engine is pointless. My opinion it, that its just for those, who dont know what else to do to the engine.
And offcourse your engine roars perfectly, you cant hear if it lost a bit of tourqe or gained a bit of power. Its "roar" isnt caused by removing the TVIS, i can tell you for sure :wink:

but after consulting two enginetuners i came to the conclusion that i should remove the T-Vis because of the way MY car was to be/is driven.

I do bealive i drive a lot harder than most of us here on AEU86.org
Since i almost only use my car for drifting on a high level

I dont think it has that much to say... Its not the 3 or 4 hp more you gain by removing it, that makes your tail go sideways

What is the simpliest way to test does my TVIS work?

Take off the airfilter (iff you dont have a open one allready) and listen to the sound when driving. Around 4500-5000 rpm, the sound should change and become more aggressive.

Thing is, you never drive that car under 4000 rpm so t-vis will only be abstruction for you

And indeed, MAN THAT CAR IS LOUD!! I really would like to put your car next to TE71s and hear the difference in sound because at Autovision drift contest man his car sounded the SWEETEST of all cars there. Man what load and lovely noice our hachis can make!
