OEM side mirrors AE86 (Levin coupe)

Hiya everybody,

Been searchin the net for this but cant find anything...

Does anybody have a tut on how to disassemble the side mirrors...
I want to fix em and give em new paint etc.

Sure...

Once you have them off the car you are best to push the mirror by hand to one of it's extents then on the side tat is now raised up slip your fingers under and give it a gentle but firm tug, it should pop right out of it's housing.

Once that's done its fairly self explanatory from there - just start undoing the screws that hold the tilting mechanisim to the covering shell. There also may be a rubber cover that goes between where the mirror mounts to the door and the mirror it'self - if it's an electric mirror it will have it.

Thanks Super - I will see what I can do... the spring is super annoying and its rusted in the back but I want to see if I can make everything nice again...
