OMG! Huh
It looks beautiful! But I dunno if you should stick a bride into those bride-seats: her dress won't fit. Big Grin

I wouldn't mind getting my interior looking like that, with bucket seats and Harnesses. Although I dont want to be rid of my rear seats as I will still want my car to be somewhat practical Confused

New bits for hachi
More new bits arrived for hachi today.

1 x new front wheel bearing (still need to find another for the other side)

1 x set of Mintex 1144 rear brake pads (to match to the 1144 in the 4pots up front and balance the brakes out a bit - should help braking drift as the rear pads are poo)

2 x TRD 4AGE solid engine mounts (part # 12361-AE851)
1 x TRD T50 solid gearbox mount (part # 12371-31020)

all being well my westfield will be out of the garage for good in a few weeks as I've sold it - this means serious work can start on the car which is basically

1. install new cam gears and ready engine for ecu swap.
2. install new gearbox mount - replace tranny fluid.
3. replace diff fluid
4. install new engine mounts
5. strip and rebuild front suspension - hopefully including new Tokico HTS inserts and either cusco/T3 rose-jointed front tension bars - replace front ARB droplink bushes.

and the list goes on.

Regards Ian.

Nice list Ian, please post some pictures of mounting these Smile

AFAIK TRD gearbox mounts are the same as Toyota OEM
Ian.G Wrote:1 x TRD T50 solid gearbox mount (part # 12371-31020)

1. I think not much can be gained form the cam gears, ECU is diferent thing. What ECU are you going to use?
2. Gearbox mount, should be no problem
3. diff fluid, 20mins
4. engine mounts, bit tricky but should be no problem too
5. front suspension can be pain in the ass to dissasemble because of the rust.

Good luck m8!

Ian,

Are you going to scrap the freedom ECU or whatever it was called then?

Hehehe,

cheers guys.

yes Zax - the TRD listed gearbox mount is a regular toyota part - I belive its from a hilux pickup truck or something.

As for the cam gears - yep I know they dont really give me anything as such UNTIL we can time up the cams properly - and for me to make use of that means being able to map the car.

As for management - yep - the freedom is coming off of the car very soon. I will probably sell this via ebay or club4age as lots of people seem to want them (and I guess they can get access to moto-p for mapping work unlike me).

I'm not entirely sure what to run yet - there is the option of OMEX (I think this is what brother betty is running his 20v on) or something else - my friends subaru engine builder also knows 4AGE engines from rallying back in the day so I am sure he can sort me out with something - he has already said he will make up the custom loom for me etc.

I will photograph all the new bits going on as always. Thumbs up!

Regards Ian.

Ian, VEMS might be an option for you soon, via Angel Works... I think they'll be testing the usability of VEMS on my car over the weekend, so if its suitable (which were pretty sure it will be) thats a good, cheaper option Smile

Will let you know how the work goes at the weekend if you like?
