You call that a problem? Thats the best place to have rust, you can fix it easily, and put a bumper over it so you will never see it again

it is a big problem for a car, but not a big problem for us
tomorrow we gonna start the job. the back will repair with thicker sheet -1.0 not 0.8 os original

now you scared me, if I wont do the original colour you gonna kill me - I dont want to be against you so tomorrow I'll do some experiments with it.
If not original I decided to paint her in pearl-grey

what about painting the bumpers?i wanted to paint them to keep the structure of plastic. Maybe the shiny style will be better?anyone has tested it?

Besides I'll be in Australia soon so no reason to be scared

You cannot go wrong with grey. Any grey will look good. although i would probably opt for somethng toyota spec - just to keep it in the family; have a looksie here: http://www.aeu86.org/index/toyota-color-...topic=4759

But than again grey is pretty common, maybe you can give the ae86 a new twist with toyotas own colorscheme from the same era, but looking at all models.. i was dreaming on painting my car ivory beige with black bumpers since i have beige/brown interior.. mybe you can score great with a certoin blus shade. I love the existing color anyway; not many blue ones are around. My advice is just not to over saturate the color, or it will look cheap (candy style colors).

Maybe you could try with metallic grey color that has a slight blueish undertone to better match the interior, in a sense a metallic colder-gray. Keeping it dark, but bright enough to make a noticable contrast with black bumpers (which should be very matt, rough matt even and not glossy). See the attachment grey vs. coldgrey..
