Nice choice on the AEM..one of the most user friendly interfaces and ecu's imho.
A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |

The AEM was also a good choice as it requires no custom loom to be made. It also saves a lot of hassle with trying to get the stock s2000 ecu up and running without having all sensors connected. My friend is using DTA on this F20 powered westfield but he is building a loom from scratch.
All have to do once its installed is load in the base s2000 map and then make modifications to the TPS sensor parameters so it can support the different TPS required to run with the Jenvey bodies. There may also be some firmware revisions to carry out on the ECU so it is up to date. The one I have is without the UGO wideband 02 sensor - I can't see this causing too much of an issue as the guy who will be mapping the car will use his own wideband. Its also good that the AEM is based upon a board provided by GEMS (OMEX uses the entry model GEMS board too I believe) - and the mapping software is very similar. The mapper has years and years of experience setting up GEMS for a lot of the GRP N and GRP A scoobs and evos in the UK - his reputation means he gets to travel the world (lucky man). The big pile of parts is great - but I am still waiting for the shell to get fabrication work carried out - hopefully soon - hopefully soon. Regards Ian. |
