HELP ME. URGENT!
I'm without a car right now. It failed its M.O.T the other day due to the rear brakes not responding enough. I have been told I need a whole new set of Rear Calipers with fittings and sharpish. Does anyone have any they can send me overnight (with payment by Paypal)? or know of any places I could get them from at a half decent price?

Jezza,

Damn that sucks... I think getting replacement calipers shouldn't be to hard, just visit your local junkyard. I'm just not sure which other toyota's use the same brake set...

Annoyingly I have no way of getting to the nearest junkyard (where ever it is Confused ) due to not having a car Blush and like you say, not knowing what car shares the same set makes it a little more awkward.

Well I'm sure someone will quickly comment which brakes to look for. You can also take your old brakes along and show them.

But if you can't get there........ Nobody around to give you a ride?

Maybe Celica has very a like rear brakes...

I know the front brakes, and all mounting , the CV-joint, ball and suporter arm from Celica STi is the same for AE82, and I think it's the same for AE86..

Toyota scrap yard car park = AE92GTi - AE82GT - KE30 - KP62

This could be helpful. Anyone else able to confirm this?

Quote: A refundable Surcharge of £65 per caliper applies - Old units must be returned within 3 weeks.

Does this mean that if I send them my old Calipers that I will get a £65 refund? Dumb question

Jezza,

that sounds about right. Thing is that to rebuild calipers takes a little time but in parts is not to bad. That is a road you can follow aswell, simply order a rebuild kit and rebuild them. Still that is risky if you dont know what you are doing.
