Distributor cap heat protection
Yesterday, I find out that my distributor plastic cap has been damaged because of high temperature coming from exhaust. I don’t have any heat protection plates so I’ll have to put something to protect new distributor cap. Any suggestion? thx

Fun is not the straight line!

If you have a stock exhaust you can try finding the upper heat shield for it. You could also try building a distributor heatshield yourself, or you can order one from http://www.aerodyne.net .

An aw11 (early MR2) distributor has a built-in heat shield. Run the aw11 dizzy, cap and wire set. Put a new o-ring on before you install it Smile

Or you can make your own...
