I went with Redstuff pads for my RX7 calipers. So far they are prettty good but you could do better if you want to spend more. I run full pressure to the rear brakes and this worked really well with my old mintex 1144 (rear). But after changing to QFM A1RM the redstuff seem a little weak.

I would properbly go with the same pads front and rear to have the same friction/temperature coefficient when I need to change...

Sarcasme is just one of the things I offer Wink

Not cheap but I'll stay with Project Mu (B-Spec or HC+, the later if you do serious track days with heavy braking).

If your temps should really fall too much due to a oversized oilcooler or very low winter temps you can simply wrap it in foil or put a piece of cardboard in front of it to block the air. Even with the 19 row cooler I barely ever felt the need to do the above.

Why is that? I have an answer... A friend of mine running a 20V without oil cooler was on the track by the end of August and was getting high oil temperatures.... What i want to avoid is basically that.... High oil temps...

If i use the 16V oil sandwich i'll get after the VVT opening, low oil pressure warnings.... Because the 16v plate works with oil pressure, the higher oil pressure the higher volume leaving the engine to cool down.....

So i need a thermostatic one, because of that.....

Still doesn't explain why you need a thermostatic one. I'm all for an oil cooler but without the thermostatic part. I use an oil filter relocation kit which allows the fitting of two sensors, inline oil cooler (avoiding the pressure switch) and better placement for the filter. As in my opinion the filter next to the header is far from optimal.

I will probably not use an oil cooler for now.... First let me check the temp's and work it out...

But the difference between a normal oil sandwich and a thermostatic one, is the opening cycle.

The non-thermostatic works via oil pressure, and that does not work with the vvt. I need one sandwich that will work with temperature. Smile

Well not in my and many other cases, it's simply part of the system. Hence the chance of 'excessive' cooling.

No switches what so ever. Just a bit more oil and a few extra places to check for leaks Smile

You'd be using No. 2 instead of 1 or none at all, depending on your block/preferneces

Sorry that my question is not in general thread or some special, i've red your and question comes up,

So my 16v have no oil cooler (was removed or i don't know why it's not there), but i'm not revving engine more than 4k/min in most cases and some times 5-7k/min for 20-30 seconds, is it okay to use car with such setup? or i should install cooler?

Thanks,
Dima

If you have a 16V 4AGE you should use an oil radiator for sure! Angel

Relocators/Grex copies you can find fairly cheap on eBay. I got my setup incl. cooler and hoses for about 100€
