86er's Track rebuild N2.??? Finally an update page 8

so my fab guy said we need to make a custom bracket so i said ok, so long and short of that was these

a few more weeks passed and gere we are now gerbox mounted and got a lite ace drive shaft that was same as tezza 6speed (dumb luck and yes im using 6spd )

oks so today now, harness is prety much complete and we just need to run lines to battery in trunk, Im on vacation this week so finishing up I put on the 13lb flywheel today and the clutch, i was planning to put on the next sump pan i got was cleaning up to put it on and discovered it has a crack sigh so gonna go get it fixed tommorow. Oil should be in motor by tommorow once i get sump dpne and all else should be done by weekend for a test start still have no downpipe for extractor but i bought a fugitsubo 4-1 on yahoo auctions so waiting on that aswell as a Power fc and some 15" dori doris

it was lot easier to put beams in my carina, even propeller shaft was bolt-on :wink:
hurry up, it´s very enjoyable engine to drive.
damn I hope this winter will end soon, so I could drive mine...

ok more progress sump sealed engine fitted up for final time almost there pretty apexi filter fitted etc tec

Great engine, indeed.

Couldnt the engine be placed 2 or 3 cms higher?

A dry sump system would defenetly get more ground clearence, plus, you can drift as much as you want and the oil wouldnt lack in the engine.

was thinking about some spacers to raise engine a bit

also when i get the 15s should raise car a bit cuz 13s are the pitts, was also looking at posiblity or using this sump pan
