The oil warning light is a pressure operated switch that takes the
place of the oil pressure gauge in more "sporting" model cars ![]() It is sometimes considered to be an "Oil Low" light, since it usually only starts to turn on when the oil level is so low that the pickup is uncovered on hills or around corners ![]() Shutting down a race car engine when the oil pressure drops is a good idea. So is pushing in the clutch and pulling to the side of the track ![]() lap to go... maybe you don't want to ???? Cheers... jondee86 |
