Flywheel Weight
Ok so last night I started changing my clutch. Everything is off: Gearbox, prop shaft and clutch housing. And I come face to face with a gorgeous flywheel that I really feel like keeping. The only problem is, the flywheel is 200mm and the clutch I have chosen is 212mm and a flywheel from a 20V. I'm guessing the flywheel for the 20v is about 5kg and the flywheel on the car is about 3.6kg. Is there any way to reduce the weight of the flywheel from the 20V to match or come close to the 200mm flywheel? or should I just buy a lightweight 212mm flywheel and sell the 200mm one?
I can't finish changing the clutch until I get a new pilot bearing anyway, so if anyone has one, or knows where the quickest place to get one is. Then let me know ![]() |
