Oh crap! I'm way behind on posting my progress in this thread..
Let's see.. This summer my parents took a 3 week vacation to the USA, so I took the opportunity to borrow their house. The corolla wasn't driveable but me and my friend towed it the 20km to my parents driveway and I got to work.
But first some pictures about what I had to do to get it towable.
The front control arms needed to be somewhat lengthened to make room for the celica's driveshafts. Not much, but some. So I made some new holes in the stock corolla arm..

Welded on some extra material and put it all together..

Cheap Camry discs in the front.

Not really necessary for towing, but anyway...
The stock lambda sensor cost too much so I got a generic one for 1/3 of the price and welded a standard M22 tread on the exhaust pipe.

Also, the fuel system needed to be upgraded, so I made a cache tank out of a piece of 3" exhaust pipe and some crap lying around the shop..

The mountings for the rear suspension arms needed to be modified for the celica stuff to fit, so I cut most of it off.

Here you can see the celica arms versus the stock corolla mountings. The celica arms are just a teeny weeny bit longer than the corolla ones. Wink

I cut a little hole to make it easier to weld.

This is my home-made mounting bracket for the rear arms.

Welded in place...

And then I made another one just like it for the other two arms, but for some reason I have no pics of the finished thing..

After all this, the car was towed to my parents' place.

The fuel system was completed: (the transparent low pressure fuel filter sits on the return hose just so I can verify that the fuel is flowing)

Located on the other side of the floor is the fuel pump (from a ford 2.9).

The engine electronics were.. oh well.. "completed"..

And... The results:

There is still a lot to be done, but I was kicked out from the garage I was renting in october so the car is now standing outdoors by a friend's house.
But april 5:th me and my girlfriend will be moving to our own house, with a garage of MY VERY OWN.. So I guess the project will be continued just as soon as we've settled in.. Smile
