Rotachi 13BT powered by Jarda [CZ]
I promised time ago to post some info about ae86 scene here, unfortunately i dont have camera and i am lazy do write and post but here ist the project from one of the 2 rotary Gurus in CZ.
I sit today with him to help sell his stuff and this is good oportunity to show his project.

He run a small workshop for repairs and custom builds, specialized on RX7. He knows about hachies from Hot version and Bmi videos, thats small underestimated car that Keichi drifts around corners. He fall in love with they simplicity and begun to search for one(i admit i influenced him a little bit Tongue after he drive my car Smile nobody with autoheart can resist an hachi). And he was succesfull (seen on stuff he is sellingBig Grin).

He drifted with FC3S before that he is used for learning mostly so the FC was rotten after couple of years, mechanically good but the chassis was not straight enough and the rust came slowly.
So he is decided to make this Frankenstein Swap, use good engine and parts from his FC and the lightweight chassi from Ae86.

Here the links to his pages:

The project started with intention to have full track light drift car at lowest cost possible. We have sourced chassis from some autocross racers without engines, he is saying FWD are better and build his precious 4age in one ae92 hatch.
The old rotten mazda as parts supplier and solid axle on the rear.

after measuring and fitting engine Jarda decided to drop the whole subframe with front axle in the hachi and to have the engine as far back as possible huge hole was cut to the firewall, despite this the front hubs are some few centimeters forward as on the original axles. so some more weight shifted on the back. It regiures also cutting and welding the subframes. Included was to remodel the strut domes to fit the bigger caster from mazda struts. Seam welding was done and aditionaly he has welded cage in the chassis.
Fitted "interior" gauges, exhaust, harness to the engine, make race and surge tank.
Custom driveshaft is also in the place, stock rear axle is used now, if it broke he use some offroad stuff.
Engine starts and runs, and final step ist the bodywork but as said before lack of time and money dont allow to finish it yet (maybe in the summer as he finish his own workroom). We wait also for fender flares from some users here.
