It's mostly such a pain in the behind because it's impossible to clean the seam you are welding.
I get reasonable results using my MIG at a low setting.. .but you really need to spend some time cleaning the metal. If you think AE86 sheetmetal is hard to weld, try an MX-5. In comparison an 86 is easy. Also the MIG you use makes a lot of difference as well.. I have an italian Cebora welder and it is relatively friendly to use whilst a mate of mine has a deca (also italian) which takes a lot more practice. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |
