The latest oscillation problem can be attributed to low voltage in the engine room battery cable.
I fixed this by recharging the battery and soldering all the battery cable related cable shoes. I have working low beam, but high beam still only works with dimmer handle halfway pulled towards me (Before it clicks into position). So I took a gutted spare switch and tried that, same problem..
