But now you know so you will notice it Big Grin
Don't think I would mind it as long as it is blueish.
The weirdly discoloured vent would annoy me tho.

Smallish update: I've been busy with the digital gauge cluster lately:

As I described earlier, the fuel gauge has been working intermittently with the voltage divider when I tried it two years ago. I threw in the towel, but someone recently contacted me asking about my efforts, making me retrace my steps. I found out there was one wire on the original connector that was working intermittently, so I fixed it, and now the fuel gauge is working! Hurray!

There is still one thing to solve: when the tank is empty, the fuel warning (and level) isn't flashing. I suspect the digital fuel sender simply cuts out working, hence the digital gauge cluster is flashing when it's not receiving any input. It's something I can live with for now, but I'll try to solve that somewhere in the future.
I'm now working on creating a PCB for this and doing some prototyping with a conversion harness. At least that's keeping me from the streets this winter! Wink

In other news, the Trueno visiting the dyno in October made it to the front page of the Dutch Autoweek magazine!

The article turned out very nicely! Thumbs up!

Are you going to use the digital dash? It would look great!

There is now a video about your dyno-run!

Very cool! And most of the article is there also (and better readable Tongue)

Yes, the video is on Youtube as well:

They didn't tell me what date the video would go live. I usually watch something on Youtube in the background while cooking dinner, so it was strange to open Youtube and see my car in the middle of the screen. That was totally unexpected! Big Grin

My plan is to use the digital dash. It has been a 20+ year dream for me to have the digital dash in my car. I always found the dash a cool gimmick, but I am aware of the drawbacks of having a limited speedometer (mine is already limited to 180km/h, though) and a revcounter that only goes up to 8K. I don't have plans to perform upgrades (balancing) on the engine that require a tachometer that goes higher. With the plan to make a conversion cable, it should be a drop-in replacement that's easily reversible.
