The floor mat looking thing is probably the little door I made so I can access the pocket behind it (I have high vis jackets and a blanket stuffed in there in case my fuel pump goes again). |

so I finally got an Irish registration plate - and as we start car registrations in Ireland with the year of manufacture, mine begins with 86.
In other news there is a blow in the exhaust on the flexi part of the RS*R manifold, so I'm going to cut out the old flexi and replace with an aftermarket one. I think in future I will go for a Fujitsubo manifold though. 2 new discoveries : -What looks to be fairly new, SARD sport catalytic convertor fitted after the RS*R -LSD looks to be installed, as both wheels rotate together in same direction when off the ground. |

Even on my non-lowered car I had the cat hit a curb when I was parking carefully on a (not so high) curb. At first, I thought I had hit on one of the frame rails, but actually, it was the cat that got the scrape. good to know. As it stands, its far too low for my taste, although it actually hasn't scrapped anywhere - I like to see the top of the tyre, so it is on the list to raise it up !

so life has been getting in the way the last while, and the weather is constant rain. However I got a few more jobs done.
I replaced the flexi on the RSR manifold ![]() Alas I think it still has a leak somewhere further up, possibly at the 4-1 section. I will give it one last chance, but I reckon a Fujitsubo manifold is the way to go........ I fitted a new aircon control panel - the old one was pure red and cracked. This was alot more work than expected - but end result was worth it. Also replaced Japanese headunit with a spare android unit. Pretty poor unit, so will change again to Kenwood or Pioneer. On a positive note the aircon looks to have been converted to r134a also. ![]() Finally my Bride MO seat rails arrived, and I was able to bolt in my Bride Brix(s) Also in the pic is a 350mm Nardi deep corn, the 330mm obstructed by view too much. Please excuse the missing lower dash, security wiring ongoing ![]()
