That looks super clean. This is essentially what I would want as well. What did you use to attach the MDF on the sides? It's kind of bare without any screw holes/brackets.

Is that a floor mat on the right side wall?

I saw a nice hole a big bolt could fit through, even though the fit is so tight it is probably not even necessary (said hole is on both sides too!). I have a fire extinguisher bolted to the MDF sides and it is rock solid. The floor mat looking thing is probably the little door I made so I can access the pocket behind it (I have high vis jackets and a blanket stuffed in there in case my fuel pump goes again).

so I finally got an Irish registration plate - and as we start car registrations in Ireland with the year of manufacture, mine begins with 86.

In other news there is a blow in the exhaust on the flexi part of the RS*R manifold, so I'm going to cut out the old flexi and replace with an aftermarket one. I think in future I will go for a Fujitsubo manifold though.

2 new discoveries :

-What looks to be fairly new, SARD sport catalytic convertor fitted after the RS*R
-LSD looks to be installed, as both wheels rotate together in same direction when off the ground.

Congratulations on the 86-plate! Hurray!
About the SARD catalytic converter, it's a must if your car is lowered. Even on my non-lowered car I had the cat hit a curb when I was parking carefully on a (not so high) curb. At first, I thought I had hit on one of the frame rails, but actually, it was the cat that got the scrape. And also, it must be beneficial if your whole exhaust system is high performance, as the original is much smaller in diameter.

good to know. As it stands, its far too low for my taste, although it actually hasn't scrapped anywhere - I like to see the top of the tyre, so it is on the list to raise it up !

I like your thinking Smile but it feels lower than a go kart right now. I do fancy a nice set of 14" though; but probably Longchamps xr4s
