I decided to make something with the 'goldie'



Because I wasn't able to get the 4AC run and I didn't want to spend money on this engine I decided to put in the old bigport engine from the black car.

I spent hours to make it clean... first I blew it with compressed air. Then I blow it with engine washer fluid, also compressed to 5-6 bar of pressure. after this with high pressure water and finally air again. The engine died after 800 race kilometers. It was enaugh for one season...

Owh I missed that bit of info, sorry to hear that.. well atleast you managed 800km with it.. Robo's engine failed after just a few km and it seriously damaged his performance cams...

Engine you can best clean with wirebrush and then paint with special paint.

wow, don't know how I've missed this topic, amazing work, and the price you got them for is just mint, wish i can find an ae86 that cheap, do you know anyone over in Hungary that want to sell one, and for cheap, i don't really care about the condition. would help, or does anyone know a website,

p.s. that engine is so cool, you have a good taste in colour, and aren't gold ae86's rare, or is it just u.k. spec gold ae86's
