Solex and mikuni question
Dunno Apolan..I've seen some highcomp 4A-GE's with DCOE's and cams put out close to 150hp. But those already had some cams in there.
In theory you could get a highcomp up to 140 hp if:
You have a highcomp outputting the original 134hp
You design perfect inlet and exhaust tracts.
That would maybe release 10% added hp if mapped accordingly. But there is a whole lot of if's and maybe's in that combination.

As a bonus you get the cold-start rodeo, trouble when going through elevation/humidity changes and fuel economy to suit US-fuel prices. Combine that with the very high prices for DCOE's (If you can find sets of DCOE's for sub 200E PM me now) and it doesn't make sense to me. However Jamie's idea, using clogged up 50E Solexes, an adapter and a MS-ecu sound like something worth trying out. Probably easier to setup, easier to live with on a daily basis and cheaper then DCOE's

Do you want PM or not ? Evil
What kind of carburators you need ? In fact DelOrtos are more common here but maybe Webers can be found too.

2 Rio: piss of Tongue ... in that Mikuni-Solex on TE71 went ~200 eura in rebuild and setup and still it doesn't work as they should. Go play with your Celica.. Evil

2 NoHachi: that's what I'm talking about... loads of problem, for "minor" power gains, wich you can even make with stock EFI on 4AGE.

For farly stock 4AGE (read no cams) leave stock EFI. With cams use Weber 45mm and go for serious power.. Smile

I don't need any carbs to be honest, just that pairs of DCOE carbs (for 4 cyls) run from anywhere between 200 and 400E here. Would be a nice profit in them ;-) Same goes for Germany by the way.
