Nissan Cefiro A31 in Europe????
I was doing a bit of research at this site trying to find some info on a set of JDM AE86 Kouki fogs w/grill that I am selling and I stumbled across this thread...It side tracked me BIG-TIME!

The A31 Cefiro...the love of my life. I've never put as much blood, sweat and DOLLA BILLS than I did with my A31 Cefiro. I know this is an old thread with the last post being over 3 months ago...but I just HAD to get a word in, too! Other than here in Japan I had no idea that A31's were available anywhere else (with the exception of used car imports to Australia). It was nice to see these are available in other countries. I would recommend one of these cars to ANYONE looking to build a nice drift car.

This was my JCI(Japanese Vehicle Inspection)/street legal A31 Cefiro (after an A31 before it and a C33 Laurel before it) after about 3 years of work. Drifting was killing me financially and the need for a larger, more practical vehicle to accomodate a growing family led me to leave the drift scene behind (:cry). This is a revised, single-page website that I had put together to try and sell the vehicle to possible buyers in Australia (I changed it from the original 'ad' format to what it is now but it still sounds a bit like a sales pitch....).

I ended up parting the whole car out to get more money but this is what it was:

Here is registration showing that it is a JCI/street legal swap here in Japan. For those of you that do not know, E-A31 (inside of the far left yellow circle) is the chassis code for the Cefiro. The Kanji character following the A31 chassis code number reads ''KAI'' which means modify/modified. It is modified with the SR20(DET) engine (inside of the far right circle):

Nissan Cefiro A31 in Europe????
wow, just been reading all the questions about the a31 cefiros. Im amazed that they were called laurels in europe as i have owned an s13 Nissan silvia, a c33 Nissan Laurel and now a Nissan a31 Cefiro.

With regards for parts, both the nissan laurel c33 and a31 cefiro are identical apart from the obviour body shape. I myself have used laurel parts on my cefiro. Also when it comes to parts such as suspention, the cefiro and larels will inter-change like lego along also with the s13 silvia and possibly the s14 and s15 non turbo models which makes parts easyer to get. With parts such as brakes, you can get these from a non turbo r32 skyline unless you want to upgrade your braking in which case you can easily changed the brake rotors and calipers.

In New Zealand the a31 cefiro is very sort after and is common within out New Zealand D1 drift Grand Prix rounds were they run an rb26dett engine ( skyline gtr engine)or a hybrid rb30det engine (custom rb26dett engine made to be 3ltr with massive single turbo)

I myself have a Nissan cefiro with custom paint, 17' wheels, Fully adjustable drift spec suspention along with adjustable camper and damper, 5 speed manuel conversion, custom speedometer callobration box, 5' exhaust, modified interiour, new tyres, light engine upgrades and a few more other things.

In New Zealand and im sure other countries these modification parts are easy to get a hold of.

Some tips if you would like to modify your own Cefiro and cannot get a hold of cefiro parts, it is possible to get adjustable suspention for a sivia of any year which will fit easily into the cefiro. Also skyline brakes and interiour seats will bolt in without any custom work. It is also easy to mould the r32 skyline model 4 door bodykits to fit the a31 cefiro.

Hope this helps any one in Europe wanting to built a modified Cefiro!!! any more questions or help just ask and im happy to help out!!!

Here are a few pics of my a31 cefiro. Still have a few mods i would like to make tho.

Enjoy!!!
