Since my car need its MOT I need to put a stock airfilter on it. Problem is that I can't find one that fits Banging head

As you see, there is a bracket right where the filter is supposed to sit. I looks stock but this is the only hachi I've ever seen with it... Please help! Is my 86 special? Tongue

BTW sorry about the dirty engine bay...

My levin has one (ae85) and that bracket is used to mount the overflow for the radiator and window washer liquid bottles onto.

My GT-S has the radiator overflow in the same place Jan's is - the top left corner of the pic shows part of it. That bracket is where my car used to have an oil catch tank, but is currently empty. My intake goes nowhere near [ITBs]..... sorry i'm not of much help =/

Just dump whatever looks stock in there. Could be from an Opel or VW , they'll never notice.

MAP or AFM engine ?
MAP engines uses this air filter box (filter is inside):

That bracket has nothing to do with the airfilterbox. Your Hachi is perfectly normal.
Dont you have the stock airfilterbox?

I have a stock airfilter but it doesn't seem to fit... I guess I have to check if the mounts are bend or something Smile

Ill see if i can find a picture when i get home. But as far as i can see, you got all the holes to mount a stock box..

That mount is for the 3ac/4ac (ae85/US ae86) engine to hold the Coolant reservoir & washer bottle.

Remove it for a GT-S/Trueno 4AG.

Martin, the holes does seem to fit, but the bracket is in the way... And no I didn't change my number - just forgot to write back to you Smile

Andrew, that seems strange since mine is an original GT Confused
