Looking good.

T3 parts are really excellent quality - worth the wait for shipping from the USA.

You will love the shifter - I have one on my car and the throw is massively improved. I have to strip mine down again now as I left a washer that sits between the gearbox casing and the base of the std shifter in place. This is obviously no good as the base is raised with the T3 unit. This washer starts to vibrate at about 5000rpm. Its not a problem - just irritating.

Regards Ian.

Put some pics of replacing synchros.

Thanks for the kind words guys. It's good to hear good things every once in a while, since everybody I tell this to just say "you're throwing your money away". I know I am of course, but hearing some positive comments every once in a while shure helps Thumbs up!

ZaX, wheels are two 14x7 and two 14x7.5
As for pics of changing synchros, I'll try but I can't promise you anything, as I'm working in the morning and the mechanic might do it while I'm away.

Now, back to business, I got the car back from the bodyshop and the engine bay looks NEW. The guy fixed the rust, cleaned up the oil and painted it. Cost 160 euro.

So my mate Mike (in the oven picture) towed me to the mechanic with his heroic 1.6 Tipo (Forza Italia). The engine is now almost complete. Only cam covers, pulleys and the new flywheel remain to be fitted. Also, the AE86 wire loom will have to be customised to fit, since the engine loom is from FF layout, thus shorter.

I could have the car in my hands by Friday or Saturday, so stay tuned for loads of picies Hurray!

So, another update on my baby. Engine is finished except one little surprise I have for you guys. Purely cosmetic, but nice anyway.

The gearbox is rebuilt and sealed. ZaX, I didn't forget, but the mechanic fixed it last Thursday which is a holiday in Greece, so I didn't go over to take pics. He said he took some pics himself, so I'll see if I can get those for you.

The bigport intake was welded between bolts to make shure no air escapes the gasket (see pic). The starter motor was also rebuilt and the injectors were cleaned.

The custom wire loom (AE86 car side, AE92 engine side) is in place as are the peripherals in the engine bay, so now we're waiting for the custom clutch to put everything together and into the car to connect to the loom.

Money is seriously running out now. I'm starting to save on food and detergents for the house. I migh have to pay the mechanic over like 3 months since 800 euro/month salary is not helping me.

Anyway, here's pictures.
