Econ light doesn't work
I've got a problem, the green Econ light on the dash doesn't work any more.

The car idles normally (about 1500rpm when cold, and 900 rpm when warm). When I step on the gas pedal, the PWR indicator (orange light)switches on like always.

I know, that I should check the bulb first, but I'm wondering if I have to dismant the dashboard or is there any possibility to check the signal to the light without dismanting the dash?

Do you know, how the econ meter is working? There's something in connection with "Vacuum switch" as seen in the manual (photo attached).

Where is this vacuum switch located?

TNX in advance

The vacuum switch is located next to the airfilter, it is attached with 1 wire and has a rubber boot on top of it.
If your PWR light does switch on and is not permanently switched on then you have a broken lightbulb. If it is always orange, or always green then you have a problem with the vacuum switch.

To switch it you need to take off the black-housing. It is a bit tricky but I managed to do it without removing my steeringwheel. It might be easier to remove the steeringwheel and then the housing. Smile
After that you can remove the display. Smile

The econometer is the second thread (from left) on the second connector (from left), so you can also check that one, but I don't think its broken. I'd say its the lightbulb. Wink

Tnx for the answers Smile

The yellow light goes on and off normally, so I expect faulty bulb of the green light.
So I'll have to dissasemble the dashboard again Sad
