Digital Dash
I've tried the Spiyda fuel gauge and I wouldn't recommend it. It probably works perfectly fine for correcting resistance-based gauges on resistive-based senders, but I found the output of the 0-5V is unreliable for the ae86 digital gauge cluster. I've contacted the creator and he mentioned it was only supposed to be used for calibration purposes, not for reliable output to gauges. So that was an evening fiddling wasted... Does anyone want to buy a cheap Spiyda fuel gauge? Wave

I did create a voltage divider and that does give me a reliable voltage output between 0.3 and 4.7 volts. I tried to hook it up to the gauge cluster using alligator clips and applied 12 volts to pins 1 and 2, but the fuel gauge kept flashing. I guess this means it doesn't receive a signal as it also does that when it powers up. I'm not sure if it's a broken connection inside my gauge cluster or if I missed something. I'm awaiting delivery of the correct 18-pin connector to create a proper test wiring harness.
