Well, a little more progress, a few more parts arrived for the build.

The new KEY!S deep dish steering wheel




The long awaited floor mounted Tilton pedal set with 75 series master cylinders, remote bias adjuster and throttle linkage. Automotive PORN! lol














Next up I took a trip to the car at the fabricators, only a 6 hour round trip but I just had to try them in the car


The floor is a bit uneven but a flat plate welded in will be just the job!







And whilst I was there I noticed my fuel flap was no longer a flap lol



Coming soon.... rear fuel cell mounting, front end modifications and BEAMS engine install

but incase, what are the part numbers on the pedals??

Thats a good question, I dont know now as I left them at the fabricators. I'll dig some paperwork out and get back to you.

Small Update..... The BEAMS has landed!

Trial fitment of the Beams motor taking place

Engine ready for fitment



Engine sits further back than the S2000 one would have...



Manifold close to the turret tops, no worries though as throttle bodies are alot smaller.

Gear stick sits a little bit further back on the Beams engine compared to the S2k one. New tunnel box will require further modifications









Hopefully it should be mounted by the end of the week then work can start on the front end and rear fuel cell set-up.

Hey conrad.. Looking really nice. Hope to see some more progress soon.. What are you going to do with the oilpan problem? A Toyotaguru told me it's replacable by a custom one. Which is about 4cm "shorter"?

I'm going to get my self a AE86 from japan. In January.. You and Ian inspired me to do a Beams swap, so hopefully before next winter we'll have a new beams-club AE86 from Finland too.. I know there is already atleast one over here..

if anyone need beams motor / gearbox in UK - i still have a contact of a guy who is selling whole Altezza for like 900punds...

Lew, I'll see how low it sits once its mounted in, if its a problem I'll either get an aftermarket one or get a custom one fabbed up.

Doggy, do you have his number? I need a prophaft/driveshaft for mine and hopefully he might have one.
