bought me an ae101, gze engine 2 months ago, for my ae86 and this is how it looks now,
-Completely re-sealed
-head polished, planed and combustion chambers cleaned
-blue top cams & re-shimming
-blue top oli pan with oil return plug + oem sandwich plate for oil cooler
-mr2 aw11 alternator bracket
-custom mounted thermostat
-all Rwd mountings
-all un-necessary vacuum hosing removed
-adaptation here and there
now the next step is to adapt the wiring loom to fit the car, so if anybody has done this all help would be welcome.

It's not pink, It's same type of color used on s2000 engine, my cameras flash just turned it in to pink,

Omg, that is one ugly piece of engine you got there.
What kind of extra power is the strange looking aluminium lump providing?

Nice one, especialy if that coating is meshed red, rough like...
But that is an 4a-ge with a sc kit, right?
How much did you pay for the engine?
And are that standard ignition coils 2-4?
Did you solve the engine mounting?

Nono. it's a real gze from ae101, and I payed around 1200e for it.
The ignition coils are standard DLI, gze coils.
for the mounting you just take the old mounts from a rwd setup 4a and bolt them in the gze, you need to cut a little the s/c bracket, also the standard alternator bracket hits the rollbar, so you need to buy a gze mr2 aw11 one or do it by your self,
holy crap I really start to believe that Ive got the uglyest engine out there,
so many comments, and not only from here

man, that's just some serious engine. Who cares it's pink, I've seen pictures of 100% pink hachi's doing donuts and everybody gawking at it. So there's nothing wrong there.
Besides, pink is pretty

You will find the the sensor block at the back of the head will be very close to the firewall. If thats the final position for the coil packs you could replace the sensor block with one from an AE86 or AE82 one which is alot slimmer.
What gearbox are you going to be using?

thanks for the advice, I was wondering if it's going to hit the firewall,
I hope my ae86 sensor block had 2 sensor places...
the gearbox will remain t50, but if it breaks I will go for the w55.
thanks petzk, you did it, but it's not really that red

as long as you dont mount your IC pipes like this youll be fine
if you want a cheap and good IC use the 7mgte stock IC

Awesome, I really like how it's done in the 2nd picture.
here's what I did to my ae101 ecu as it had no 22 pin connector plug,
101ecu -> 86 connector
-sta to ??
-a/c nc
-sp1 to sp
-til to
-frp to ??
-w to W, check engine
-els1 to bat?
-egw nc
-els2 to ?? idle up diode what is that?
-batt to bat
-cco nc
-fc to fc
-+b1 to +b1
-+b to +b

Little update,
I received some parts that were missing, but from a 7mgte supra
-Igniter 89620-14440
-two resistor packs one for fuel pump and one for injectors
I thought that the supra igniter should work in gze just by re-pinning the igniter's connectors, to mach the gze igniter's connectors wire colors
and leave the green and beige not connected
left gze igniter connector, center the 7m repinned, right repinned gze
next step is to wire-up the injectors resister pack
does anyone have an idea?
the wires on my pack are 3x brown and 1x white
the wires on my gze harness are 1x black and 2x black/orange
It might also be that all this doesn't work

Hi! Could you help me a little with ignitor connection? I have GZE ignitor but i have to wire it from ecu and on the web there are not enought info about those wires. There are those 2 connectors on the ignitor, and as far i know, smaller 2 wire connector are outputs for coils, black for coil 1,4 and blue for coil 2,3, if i am right...
But the bigger, with 5 wires are totally blank for me. In all wiring diagrams they show only three wires going to it, and the colors arent same on the ignitor side. I have colors on the upper row, left to right: brown, grey, red. Under: yellow, white.
Could you tell me what are colors (and meanings if you know) on the engine wiring loom whitch connects those colors?

Moro.
here you go:
purpose / designation / color on igniter / color on wiring loom
signal, igniter -> ecu:/ IGt - / RED / black
signal, ecu -> igniter:/ IGf / GREY / black&yellow
IGd (AE101 IGa) / WHITE /black&orange
battery:/ +B / BROWN / black&orange bigger
tacho:/ TAC / YELLOW / black
coil1:/ IG1 / BLUE / black&blue
coil2:/ IG2 / BLACK / black
hope it helped you.
heres how to wire the 7mgte igniter (part: 89620-14440) to mach the gze igniter: http://www.club4ag.com/faq_and_tech_pages/Ignition%20Using%204A-GZE%20DLI.htm

Yes, that helped a lot!
Later on last evening i opened the ignitor and inside of it there where last letter in some of the wires meaning its purpose but not in all contacts.
Thank you very much!
Kiitoksia paljon!
