a 3A will fit... so will 4A-C
don't have one to sell, sorry.
get a 4A-FE and use your AG head.

1. In some posts ago I saw that in NL there are good 4age from junkyard for 200-300 eur. You can make some calls to transport agencies and arrange the transport. What about the transport by train?
2. Contact robotype ( he is from Milano, Italy ). As far as I know he had a working 4age redtop from corolla ae92 a year ago. He might still have it...

I might cancel my smallport project due to financial reasons. If you buy my smallport you could have 140-150HP easily andit's not very far from you, in Budapest.
Smallport intake adapter has to be converted to the RWD style but I can help you to do this. More in private.

the smallport is the latter (ae92) no tvis version right? will my bluetop manifold fit?
in what cars ca i find 3a and 4ac engines? wasnt it said that 4af block is a lot less rigid than the 4ag?
what about the engine mounts? can i use my engine mounts?
the point is i would like to have a working engine, that i can just service it (oil, filters) and run it.

The smallport has smaller intake ports (how strange ) than the bluetop bigport. So your manifold won't fit.
Don't forget that almost every engine needs some modification since these newer engines were built mostly in FWD cars. So the smallport and the 4A-FE too.
Maybe my smallport is not what you need because it needs some things to work in your car.

You can use even intake one - if you get FWD 4AGE engine (for AE86 intake match you must get bigport engine).

99% yes.
Tested "reversed" - fitted 4A on EE80 with 2A engine (FWD 1.3).

so to sum it up - i can get any A-series engine (unless its a smallport 4ag) and use my (4ag RWD) engine mounts, my t50 tranny, and my intake and exhaust manifold? and it will be plug and play? what about the wireing? yes?

You can use any A-engine with your T50.
If this is 4AGE engine - AE86 exhaust will fit. If this is bigport 4AGE engine - intake will fit too.
About wireing - 2A and 3A will be carburator-powered, 4A and 7A can be carburator or EFI powered. Harness will be plug and play only if you get the same type engine (as in your car at the moment).

It will be a difficult swap if you're not swapping in a 4AGE or something running the same head. Using the head on just any a series is not possible, you need at the very least to swap over the pistons with the 4valve cutouts. 4AFE etc will be just as expensive and a bitch to wire in..not impossible though. I'd say stick with the 4A-GE..been hearing rumours about a ae86 in Croatia soon to receive a nissan engine..might be worth your while to inform with Zax whether he has an engine left.
Plenty of 4A-GE's here in Holland, but i think shipping would kill you. Why not inform around with some truck drivers around Ljubljana that make trips to Holland? Wouldn't mind helping you out with acquiering the engine and loading it onto the truck.

yep i see.. i know 4ag is the easiest thing to go for, but there is just none of them here. unbelivable.
i have this urge to fix up my car for the winter. i really want to have soome winter fun this year, so i need to fix/buy engine for less 400 eur.. i'll super-build my car later with all the fancy parts, when i have the money. but i just must not miss out on the fun. it means teh world to me.
Much thanks for your willingnes to help. I will ask a trucker i know if hell be doing any trips to holland anytime soon, an i'll let you know.

To be exact: the smallport is OK only the intake which is different. Wiring too, but as it is stated above every engine different from the one type you have in your car ATM needs different wiring.

Call me crazy, but Zax used to have a bunch of 4age's, cant he help you out? He's not actively drifting competitions with the ae86's anymore so I'd expect he doesnt need so much spares anymore.

the problem is i would like to have a solid working engine for as little money as possible. mine has conrod bearings and crank problems and because of the history of the engine i'd need to do a complete rebild (grind&polish crankshaft, new bearings, hone cylinders, new rings..) - and that aint so cheap to do- but what most consirns me is that my work would be all in vain, because of the rough history "she had" - and the engine was never worked on by a toyota specialist, but by a mere local mechanic.. i think my engine is pretty out-of-tune. yes i will call zax and some other folks and see what i can do, its no hurry, so finding something that would suit my budget is the priority instead of rushing in on some unthought-through and expensive deals.
thanx for the help guys-

Well, i got the oe engine i pulled from my car, done just around 200k km,but there is no sound from bearings or worn pistons, the head was rebuilt at the Toyota dealership, pryer to it have been put away,it was using 0.3 ltr oil, in 5oookm , and no water,
The car had been standing in a garage in 10years,so it have not even been started in that time, but i ran it for 10k km and there is no problem with it.
but there is a long was to Denmark, and i dont know about shipping, but the engine, would cost 270 euro.
Regards,
Skassag

Slade (ISL here) sold 4a-ge for my mate with kp60 starlet, but starlet is now sold to Jura, so my mate has one blue top 4a-ge for sale.
I don't know the state of the engine or price, but engine is for sale.
