it's painted!!
Together with an aunt, i've made a new rooflining, first a small test with old fabric, to check if this stuff is good enough for a rooflining (original is vinyl, which doesn't stretch), looks ok to me, time for a real version

all the rust is gone! Protected by a layer of washprimer, 2 layers of filler, 2 layers of color and 2 layers of clearcoat.
I'm trusting Doccie to protect the bottom and every little space very very well
I'm glad im done sanding that thing..

So you can't call your car "corrosie" anymore.
Nice work!

painted some garnish today:
little bit darker then stock, but now it's all in the same color and not in 5 different shades of silver ;D
and i've bit the bullet and bought some other front wheels, the longer i thought about the lesser i liked the 2 different wheel combo
So now these are on my way too:
13x7 ET0 again

I'm with the Doc on this one I wouldn't have gone for white wheels though perhaps gunmetalic would have been better

Today i started on a job i was avoiding the last few weeks....
Now only the passengersside and the rear under the bench to do...
Int he meanwhile i played with some bits of plastic and wheels
Thát's wheel fitment!...
The archgap which can be seen clearly in the last pic ( ) will be closed with some 5cm loweringblocks and the tire.
I didn't put the flares on correctly, i just boshed them on for a quick looksy about how they would cooperate with my 9J rear wheels, and they do pretty good i must say!
I also painted some more of the garnish, but that will be showed when it's ready.

ok, time for another small update
Yes, those are 2T-G's
And i didn't buy 1, but i bought 3 of them, so i'll have enough spares the next few years
They all need a rebuilt, but that won't be to hard

Excellent find!
Where did you find someone with 3 2T-Gs then?
Can't you share just one head for a TA60?

That is an awesome little car. It will look superb on those wheels too.
It makes me happy seeing classics like this being saved from a grave and not just lost in motoring history. Keep it up sir.
Sooo many nice cars on the forums - its great to see so many people making old cars nice and not just buying new ones. We are saving the environment or something hehehe.

I know... Couple of carbs, waterpump, some pulleys and fans...
But I have to start somewhere.
