I've got one idea.
Let's make a map of Europe whith markings of the AEU86 members.
This way we might be able to see clearly where is everyone.
What do you think??

I like dodo's map better. How about we all take turns and add ourselves to the map (since some places do not appear on the map) and the upload it so the next guy can add himself?

Hmmm, good idea!
What about creating a database in which people can enter their hachi, along with their country and city? Only problem then is to find out what the coordinates of Appelscha in the Netherlands are.

The maps good, but my concern is that for areas such as Holland there are a lot of owners on this forum and not much room to fit in names. I had though about adding them onto an Autoroute map so that it was scalable.

In the UK we can use streetmap that allows enrty of postcode to show the map. I have used this in the past as part of a URL so that it is done automatically. I don't know if there is a european wide version of this ?

I only know of a site that has this feature..www.routenet.nl
It's of no use for this though..
I'll try something out though..just enlarge the map....when viewed in resize you only get a general ideaa of locations, and in full size you see names and all..

OKay, I've heras-ed something together. It will store the coordinates and city/country for your user (you need to be logged in!) and put them on the map. Maybe not the best programming i've ever did (well, really bad programming actually), but if I improve it I still have the data and can recreate the image.
Try here
This is the image as it is filled in:

Hehe... Doesn't matter... I have the coordinates and I am thinking about making a "mouse-over" namepopup.

I protest! There is a Northern Europe conspiracy going on in here!!!
Right after BENELUX is loaded, the rest of the map appears purple and is shifted to the right, so I can't see my name!
Please fix it almighty banpei...pleeeeeease?

Does it work now? I made a "thumbnail" which is a lot smaller than the original.

and not in my country for sure.
Oh boy, I just moved to Greenland!!
It's nice here but it's cold.
If you cant move it banpei,

Hmmm, I removed your entry in the database, so you can reenter your coordinates.
Alas I can't remove you from the image... So you will have to live half the time in Greece and half the time in Greenland.
On the other hand: Greenland has a lot more snow than Greece, so drift practise will become more easy.
And sorry about the name... Small typo...
And I did receive your mail.
