Hey Paul,
You mean the dent that we filled because we couldn't get it dented out? Actually a mate of mine did that who does this for a living, I was amazed seeing him work, just put the filler on in one stroke and sanded it down and it was perfect. That sorta thing would cost me days. He also did all the other small repairs.
I believe there are pictures of us prepping the car before paint on my website. There should be some pictures about that there.
Btw that reminds me, do you have any value for these pictures? I'm going to change over my website to a simpler version so the album of pictures will disappear soon, but if you like the pictures of the history of your car, I'll burn them on CD and send them along with the bootlid if you want.
Sorry for not sending the bootlid sooner, its just been mad around here and I'm still not sure how I will package it

This filling is made really good. It was about 2cm of it but the painting was done perfectly!

2cm? Hmm I remember it being less but it was a strange dent, previous owner hit a pole while parking or something weird like that I was told.
I attached two pictures, this is what we're talking about right? I am still amazed by how well he fixed that up, I would have liked it better if he undented it more though.

Paul,
I believe starlet, VW golf MK1 and there was another one, not sure.
Whow amazing to see the car like this. I remember now that indeed the wheel arc was bent inwards and there was more filler there.
I always knew I had one of the better shells in Europa, but seeing it all stripped down like this I am amazed. Sure it has rust but so does every other hachi and most cars I've had the pleasure of working on or helping out with were in much worse condition.
How are the doors? Those were pretty bad on the underside?
I can't wait to see her all fixed up! I know I sold it to the right person now!

Indeed it is in very good condition. Not even for ae86 but for each 25year old car!
Nice to hear that you not regret selling her to me

Pawel,
Simply amazing!!
Sorry to hear about the hood, I'm sure someone can get you a fiberglas one. As for painting, really up to how much work the painter puts into it. When I installed the fiberglas wings up front you could not see that they were fiberglas after they were painted. But the guy that also filled the dent for me took alot of effort into properly sanding and priming the fiberglas before paint. Unfortunately we forgot to account for the thickness of paint with clearance and the paint chipped because the door and the fiberglas wing collided
Great work on the rear arch though!!

Hey Pawel,
The bootlid wasn't damaged in any way when I sent it, so that must have happened during transport Blasted couriers, can't be careful with your stuff.. Guess I didn't pack it as well as I thought..
Glad to hear you can fix it though...
