Hey,

I thought it might be interesting to share a bit about what we do in our lives, besides owning, driving and caring for our cars. Smile Maybe there's alot of people with other common interests, besides the dear old AE.

So, i'll go first; Formally i study architecture, which is my prior interest, but also like psychology and the relation between the two. On the other hand i'm interested in "introspective" sciences (esoteric/esp/conscious-unconscious levels etc..) and practice different forms of meditation. Smile

Such variety....

I am soon starting my last year in my master studies in engineering. I study at tkk in Finland www.tkk.fi

I also work as a CAD manager/specialist for a company that makes permanent access solutions www.rostek.fi We make different kind of gantries, ladders and baskets but also sell the tracklines. So if you see a house with a alot of windows there is a big chance it has our products. 90% of our production goes worldwide, we sell to every part of the world except north america.

I drive a 2004 VW Golf with a 1.6l FSI, have to live with thisone untill I find a real car, probably gona end up with a RX-7 or an AE86. Only problem is that there are no places to build cars in, in the Helsinki region. If you find some place, it usually is 15m^2 for 350e/month and you have to stay quiet, so thats the biggest holdup at the moment.

I study mechanical engineering at the University of Patras, and participate at the UoP formula student team. In my free time (not too much I admit), I mess with mine (starlet kp60) and my buddies' cars....I also love movies, and I'm a huge motorsport enthusiast!

I'm an electrical engineer, but have been working as a programmer for over a year now. I do automation for factories like Sigma (paint), but also security software for various customers in the Netherlands.
I'n my spare time I just about manage to squeeze in going to the gym, playing football, and lurk around on the internet. Some weekends I find the time to work on my hachi, volvo trackcar and my daihatsu daily driver.

I think that has alot to do with the fact that this is a forum. You'll see most active people here are people who work with computer daily in one form or another.

Unfortunately the hachi roku enthusiasts that do not work with computers daily, usually are the most skilled when it comes to our cars:)

Still I think we got a great mixed group of people here! Very Happy

heh robo Very Happy we ordered a full truck from ikea last year and another truck full of stuff is comming soon. We love it. I think IKEA has great system, which makes all this even possible @ the rate that consumers demand. So therefore thanks to you and others who planned it that way Very Happy
