Long trip to ring from japan for this insane weather Puh

Shame for me i decide not to arrive. Hope to see some from you later in Summer. We plan one weekend trip with Reinhard(red coupe with Ronals).Maybe he brings his rally car so he can push it hard.

Yeah the GP track was a lot of fun! A lot harder than I thought it would be. A lot of corners tightened at the end and it was very slippery.

Do you know the guy in the Megane? OMG it was fast! It overtook us two times in less than twenty minutes Worship

I thought the genral consensus was that Ring laps are fairly easy on brakes and tires and if you're killing them you're not flowing with the circuit? There was a dark blue Manthey racing fettled GT3 there looking through the photos with reg S1 HPC. This guy races a GT3 RS in the VLN there and took me round Oulton Park in the same HPC car, and he, and the club he instructs through (HPC) maintain that there's little tire and brake wear there as far as I remember...

I know the M5 I did a lap in and passengered in there had knacked brakes and you could pedal it along pretty well...

I'd also take a wild guess on a dry track unless your 86 was making pretty serious power it'd be screaming it's tits off flat out for most of the lap, I found it deceptively fast.

yeah thats what i was thinking, i dont want it to be screaming its head off, and if anything goes wrong im sure parts in germany are hard to get id have to be shipping parts over myself. looks like its going to have to be a BMW but id love to take a well sorted 86 around, maybe i could have a lap with you next time Jan?? if you up the power a bit you could fit a longer final drive to lower the rpms a bit... so far no one had a problem on the ring with the hachi screaming but it's true most of the time you'll be with the pedal to the metal - as it should be anyway Wink

If we ever meet there I'll give you a ride for sure Smile It wouldn't hurt having a bit more power going up the hill. For me better tires and more practice behind the wheel would help more, though.
