Did Dennis put the Z-wheels on his Celica now? |
His Bluebird looks way to cool on 14" black steelies to put them on that car, so on the Celica they went
projectrollas: it's a TE27 spoiler, bought on ebay

Stripped the interior out today, and started removing the cage.
Started removing fluids and surroundings from the engine, so it can come out for the welder (if needed, but engine needs to come out anyway).
Friday, the car is picked up to go to the guy who's gonna weld it for me. If it returns is time to put on the flares and spoiler and such. Sfter that it's paint time ;D
And 1 good weather bonus point today was this:
That's my stock driveshaft (from the K40 gearbox) in the T50 which is going to sit behind the 2T-G. It's a direct fit
Boxes are the same length, i've got a subframe for a 2T-G, so everything should swap in easily ;D

I think a 2T-G suits your car better than a 4A-GE.

it not only suits better, it fits better.
I've got EVERYTHING to drop in a 2T-G without any problems.
No welding, no drilling, no modifying things.
I need to do some wiring, but i also need to do that on a 4A-GE (and a LOT more). 4A-GE mounts aren't the same, gearbox is different, my driveshaft WON'T fit a 4A-GE T50 etc. etc. etc.

But the car wil not drive as nice. The 2TG is a very heavy engine compared to the 4AGE.

Nice retro convoy:
Beetle is an 1303LS from the first month they made them as convertible, value is in the 10.000+ euro range
talking about scene tax....

Welding done, time to do the last things before it goes away again, to get a nice new coat of paint
