I would love to go, but I need money for better brakes and for the entry fee.

Money that I don't have right now..

I am also just uprating my brakes.
I get fc3s calipers (used) and matching adapters and discs from RS Hamada.
New pads all around from Project Mu. New brake fluid and that should do the job. This is not that expensive.

Well would be great to see some of you guys out there.

Cheers

HI Mux

I know of course that it is really early in the year.
But our choices where either then or in late November. So from previous experiences in fall we were jumping at the current date.

Well my Hachi is also on the station right now, needs some work. AND I just found out that the wrong LSD got delivered from Japan. Now it is getting really tight. And things are not looking much better on the Scooby. But me and my crew are working a lot on this now.

So I hope that at least one more Hachi is turning up so my little fella is not lonely. Wink
And it would also be nice to get to know some of you guys in person because I think there are nice people on this forum.

Well my LSD is what has me worried as well, I have a rebuild diff in the shed, and I have an RNP on the shelf, just no time to install it. I had hoped to cut a corner and get Jaspers 2way diff and swap it in directly but he just posted it got sold to someone before me.

First need to do some engine work, my radiator is leaking a new one should be in before the end of the week, and my timing belt is over 60k so that needs to be replaced asap, already have the replacement. Just absolutely no time.

Then I have my HTS shocks to install in the rear and my quickshifter...

And then there is that since I have a kid now, I've promised myself to chose my trackdays with care and not go to mad places like the ring anymore...

Owh and then there is Sydney... Need to save up money... owh didn't I just spend.... right... f***.....

But I really should go to the ring one more time before Sydney... Just need to NOT crash my car...

No I see you points and of course I could understand if you do not come.
If you can make it would be nice to have you there.

So now get in the garage and get the stuff in.
NO MORE SLEEP. Wink

If I just had 500 km less I would be up for it. But its just a bit too expensive for me at the moment... I is a shame, cause I'l have my car running with "new" suspension this weekend Thumbsup

So it would be the perfect test for it.

We also got a long way to drive. If you want to make the long drive really worth it then stay until sunday. The Ring will be open to public on sunday too. Saturday is testing for some race series.

Still some spots open.

And still no other Hachi then mine?
Comon everybody claims to like driving.
But maybe you only drive on your driveway and parking lots? Blonde question

Would be cool if you guys would be around either on or off track. I still have a passanger seat in the hachi so you can always hop in.

If you want to get on the Ring for just a few laps then contact me by mail and we handle it.

Cheers
Tobias

At least there will be one other Hachi so far.
So mine is not that lonely.

Would be cool if you could come too.

We will also have a special deal and testing on the KAAZ Race Monitor kit.

The prospect of taking an 86 round the 'ring sounds ace to be honest. Issue 113 of UK's 'EVO' magazine has a photo of their target 8min M3 at the ring with a white 86 in the background. Got to be one of you lot surely.

And for those ducking out as they're worried about coming off, you don't have to rag the car! Just drive it as you would a country lane and not as a qualifying lap, either way you're gonna get your wing mirrors sucked off by at least one car a lap anyway, so take the pressure of yourselves and go out and enjoy it.

My one and only lap of the 'ring (so far) was at the hands of an M5 with the owner sat next to me, scared to death as he'd already watched his ITR track special blow up earlier in the week. Pressure was my middle name, but you just gotta go out and enjoy it.

REALLY wish I was with you. Planning on making a pilgrimege to the place on every trip back to the UK, about once every 18 months.

Ok, finally have an update:
I will leave for Stockholm on Saturday, so thursday might still be an option. Hachi is leaking oil from her rear main seal and the CA18 needs to come out in order to change it. Will not drive it like this out of fear that I will endanger others with the oil. Ivan and I might come out with the volvo, need to check this with him first.

If its possible I have a last minute application that is 100% certain. This is a really cool project I'm helping out on inspired by the target 8 EVO M3. We are building a mazda MX5 that should hit the target sub 8 minute laptime, but on sub 8k Euro budget Smile (Check it out at www.ringmazda.com - site still needs work though, so don't read it too accurately yet) Hope we can still come out and play. The ring-mazda needs a shakedown test and baseline measurements before the modifications.
