Today I totally removed the old and broken handbrake cable. it was broken at the rear, just at the brake calliber.
have to order some new ones on monday. couse the shop I went today did not hade the right a cable for my car.. (only for drum brake type, not disks)

I also removed the radio dash, I was looking for a Dubble DIN dash, but came up with a better Idea, make a piece of my own.
I want to install 3 additional gauches in my dash, but there was no place for it.

At my work I am going to create a dasch out of Alluminium or steel /stainless steel, and aferwards sandblasted and painted ..black Very Happy

sketch of how it is goin to look will be up later tonight.

Also buid in my Bi-xenon of the AE101.
I have got xenon sinds 4 years and almost can't do whitout..
have removed the 5W bulbs, they look bad next to the xenon, will be replaced by PIAA leds soon.

make some pictures of it in a a couple of minutes.

at this moment, the reversed gear light is not working.. want to solve that next week, also the fog lights at the rear do nog work.
I think I want to make a dubble rear light in it. what do you think about it?

no i mean in stead of L+R a fog light to change that position also in rear lights..

in that case you have in each light 2 bulbs

No I get that, but maybe Ivan can comment on your idea as I think he has some experience with that.

Double taillights are not allowed, they need to be 1 continous light. Not a big problem though, if you did it like I did, you can just pull out a diode and it will be back to stock. The best thing to do would be to fit a bulb with 2 coils to replace the foglight, so you can have double regular lights too, but that way the police will catch on sooner. Also, the foglight has a metal reflector behind it that makes it shine brighter than the brakelight, so you'll always have a difference between the two lights unless you take the reflectors out.

Then they do not know the rules, consider yourself lucky. I called bullshit when my car was first failed because of the lights, and the guy doing the check looked it up for me in his rulebook.

Tell it to Mr. Steekproef then. Remember that I got a recheck by the RDW and all they guy complained about was that I removed the yellow indicator lenses to pass the test. Wink

Taillights of a hatch won't fit, neither do the kouki (type III) lights fit. So only the zenki (type I and II) will fit.

Type I and II are the same. The difference is between the Levin type and the Trueno type.

What are your plans anyway with the ae86 ? I mean..are you gonna use it for everyday stuff or what ? Because, if I'm not mistaken, you're also "busy" with the AE101..hehe. So what is this all about ? Very Happy
