last weekend i was in california at the irwindale speedway to watch the D1 finale,also the japan vs usa battle and the allstars,i have a LOT of pics,but for now i only place the hachi pics 
it was really a hachi walhalla  ,
i saw them with formula atlantic engines,4age 16v,with nos,4age 20v with nos and sr20det powered etc.

Yeah Formula D was a lot like that, though on a smaller scale. But there were at least 3 hachis competing when I went and a fair number in the parking lot 
One of the competing ones was a pink hachi driven by a girl racer even!
