4th year Anniversary Meet, Greet & Eat 11th of October

Hey Everyone,

4th year?? Yeah 4th year!! But I though we just had our 3rd year anniversary?? Yup we did Very Happy

One thing I learned this year is that when things get crammed, organizing these things is one of the first things out the door. We had a real nice plan laid out this year and it didn't happen. So I was talking with Banpei before this years Barbecue and we decided that next year, we'd start planning things early! Smile

We're sticking with the idea we had for this year, 1st it just sounded like a great idea to begin with, 2nd its the only viable idea we have to bring a large group of hachi owners from NL, Germany and Belgium together.

So whats the idea? Well simple, we head out for a weekend to the only place on earth where these three countries meet. Vaals Smile

Besides having some great scenery around with really nice roads for our hachis (the only 'mountains' in Hollands;) ) there are plenty of nice places to stay.
The idea is to meet up during the day on a Saturday. Have a bit of a drive around Vaals, check out the "3 landen punt" stay there for a little while just chatting and admiring each others cars, and finally head out to a camping site nearby for the annual barbecue.

For those people who've stayed till Sunday we're thinking of driving on to the Nurburgring and have some fun there before heading home again. Its a 'short' drive from Vaals to the ring so.

When? Well in a years time actually. We're shooting for early September.

So why this early announcement? Well first of all, cause we want as many people to come as possible so make sure you reserve some time for September. We'll also like to gather a picture of the number of people we can expect so we can take that into account with the program and the accommodations.

Second of all, I really want to try and find some volunteers to help out organizing. We won't start looking for a camping site and such until sometime early next year but it would be nice if people would let me know in advance they will want to help out. We're going to need someone who is willing to spend a day or two driving around Vaals finding a camping site suitable for our needs, we'll need someone to find a nice route we can drive (I have an old DeLorean event day route somewhere we can use as a base), we'll off course need some people who'll want to get all the stuff for the barbecue (I hate asking the Doc all the time all though he seems to find it an honor Very Happy

).

Shall I join the organisation for the 4th? Maybe good idea to plan a meeting for the organisation so we can work some things out. Most of the time its better to sit around the table with some white paper and a pen. Smile

And this time there will be tshirts again! Wink

In due time offcourse it would be a nice idea to get together with the volenteers. That would only improve the quality of the meeting:)

Its a good idea to organize its so early.
If it is anyway possible for, I´ll come.
If we/you fixed a date, I can communicate this meeting in the german Fourm and to this guys who haven´t Internet.

(But the date have to be in September, cause my season ends at 30th Sep. Very Happy

)

Well, normally we celebrated during September to avoid holidays and other meetings (corollaclub/tacn/japsunday/etc) so my guess it will be in September as well. Otherwise we'll go for May, like we hoped for this year.

Hey Guys

I got A Question for the organisation. I read about the great 4th year anniversary in the Netherlands>>>Vaals in September.

I'm from the Toyota Sports Club and we are located in the neighborhood of Vaals. Maybe you would like it if we come over for a couple of ours with our cars (it are only Toyota's) to visit your meeting and maybe for some great pictures.

At JCS banpei and I desided to meet later to discuss this topic. When I'm back from Germany Ill visit banpei to discuss the place and date. Probably around mid Augustus we'll have the final plans.

ok guys finally an update about this topic.

Banpei, Oldskull and I have meet today to discuss about the BBQ for this year. Because its a bit late to make all kinds of crazy plans we desided to keep it simple this year. There wont be a BBQ, so we dont have to arrange meat etc. Dont stop reading now because you WILL have dinner Wink

The plan is that we meet up during the day on a big parking lot. We can chat and learn to know each other. Offcourse you have to bring your cam to make some nice pics of all the cars! Afterwards we all go to a restaurant in the area to have some dinner and a drink. Because we want the 86 owners from Germany, Belgium and Luxemborg to come too, we planned the meeting in Valkenburg in Limburg (near the border to Germany and Belgium). The date will be saturday 11 oktober.
