Today I bought this fine mint TA60! Smile

TA60 Carina from rear

TA60 Carina from side

front view TA60 Carina

The car only covered 71k so far and is kept in excellent condition. The first owner apparently kept it in a garage and the second owner (who imported the car a year ago) kept it mostly under his carport and I was only able to discover one spot where rust may become an issue, so enough time to prevent that from happening. Puh

Enough space for mini-me
Enough space for us and the baby.

Whahaha cool! I know of at least one Dutch member who is going to be very jealous. You might be able to nick an entire 4A-GE driveline from him if you're lucky.

Nice car! Probably a better plan then making the AE86 family friendly. That Laurel (?) in the background isn't really the average car on the streets as well these days.

LOL! Very Happy
No panda spraypaint or 4AGE driveline scheduled. Puh

@ ash: never seen a second hand car that clean. Smile

@ NoHachi: who? The Doctor? Blonde question

@ EELiftback: that's no laurel. That's one of the three Crowns the previous owner owns. Drool
And indeed a better plan than making the hachi a family car. Wink

Took some pics when I got home:
Bit blurry
Sorry bit blurry Embarassed

Another sideview

And the engine:
The very powerful (ahem) 2T engine

Cheerleader

Nice find man!
Great cars, and they share chassis with the Celica too!!

You NEED to show that to all of us tomorrow (sunday) at the Japanese Classic Sunday at Lunteren!!!!

//edit:

It's a 2T engine producing 75 roaring horses btw, not a 2T-B (it's single carb, a 2T-B is twin carb)

now get the twin frontlight grille on there and a nice 3T-GTEU to make a nice Carina GT-TR Very Happy

Too bad I have other obligations today... I would have loved to be there. Crying or Very sad

Doc: Modelcode is TA60L-AEHDSW, so you are right, it is a single carb so just a 2T and not 2T-B as I assumed. Wink
And figure out what te rest means. Puh

And I see where you got those pics:
http://page8.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/h48103036
Puh

And ofcourse I am already looking for the triple lights grille (in between the two lights there is another light). Saw one for sale two weeks ago, but ofcourse now it has been sold. Neutral

Thanks! Thumbsup
But my dash doesn't look that cool: it is a family cruiser, so it has a standard dash. Neutral

Dunno yet how economic the engine is yet: still have to drive enough to find out. Wink
But if I ever change the engine I'm seriously thinking about the 4AGE. Puh

if you don't do too many crazy stuff, a 2T can be reasonable with fuel.
Around 1liter to 11kms.

That's not to bad Smile

For the VIN code, check this site.

A LOT of info on there Smile

Good luck with the car, and if you ever want to sell it.... Smile

and you've missed something today!
There where 2 TA60 (of which one was a wagon) and a nice KE70 wagon! Very Happy

Nope... That's the facelift TA40 station. A bit inbetween version of the TA40 and TA60 look. Puh

This is the TA60 station:
