|
|
Hello game freaks,
I just downloaden a Jap demo of GT4. It has 5 cars and 3 tracks. The racecar is the Falken Skyline that raced the 24h on the Nordscheife, and this Nordschleife is in it as wel. You can race with 5 other cars on the Nordschleife. In the first startup test I competed against the DTM Astra, Corvette C5 and more.
I know what I'm doing tomorrow night when my girls is to the gym hook up my GT4 wheel and race!!
Michel

Damn this demo is sweet, the psysics has been upgraded a lot since GT4 Prologue, can't say anything about the BMW Demo thou, never got my hands on it.
Nürburgring rocks!
You can also try out the new photo mode, damn those grafics!
Oh, the downside of it... There's a 150 second time limit.

tnx | I've looked around for a removal too, but there are none, the fact that there was a removal for the BMW demo is that there where two different versions released, one with time limit and one without. It was an easy task of just comparing the two to be able to find out how to remove the time limit.
I don't think there'll ever be a removal for this demo, just have to wait for the Jap GT4 another month.

And now there is a time-limit removal for this version of GT4.
Played it myself. Damm, the nur is so sweet!
@a mod: Can i post a link, or put the howto over here?

Gimme gimme gimme!
Damn i'm glad i was wrong about this!
Edit: Found it here:
http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=...page=48&pp=20
and the trick is:
----
method:
1. use ISOBuster to extract all files from the iso (ho-gt4d.iso) or from burned DVDR
2. download AXE from here http://www.jbrowse.com/products/axe/download.shtml
3. install it and run it
4. open PCPX_966.49 file with AXE
5. look at offset column and scoll down to 001F0740
6. you will see that row like this FF FF 42 24 07 00 40 14 .... and you change the first 8 digits to FF 00 FF 00 .... then that line should be FF 00 FF 00 07 00 ...
7. Save and overwrite PCPX_966.49
8. repack all files and burn
to Repack (for swap magic user, picky ps2, and for those who don't how to make a proper iso)
I use Sony cd/dvd-rom generator (search yahoo with "$ony cd/dvd-rom generator")
New Project > DVD Master Disc
volume set to GRANTURISMO4, Disc Name PCPX - 96649, others blank
in Directory, drag files into the program in following order:
SYSTEM.CNF
PCPX_966.49
IOPRP300.IMG
IRX (folder)
EPSON (folder)
GT4.VOL
after you press "rec" button, it will pop up a box for export temporary iml file, use GT4DEMO or whatever (not important)
then it pop up 2 error box, first one is "recording unit is not connected", 2nd one is "initialization failed" ... ignore them
then you should see a program called "CD/DVD-ROM Recording unit controller v1.xx"
click file, export image, type GT4DEMO (LST file type)
after it finish the process, you should have GT4DEMO.000 GT4 DEMO.001
then use command prompt (Start menu > Run > type cmd) and go to the folder where GT4DEMO.000 located
type this: copy /b GT4DEMO.000 + GT4DEMO.001 GT4DEMO.iso
wait a while, you will obtain GT4DEMO.iso in the same folder
use Nero or DVD Decrypter to burn the iso image
then now ... you can enjoy Nurburgring without time limit ... YAY!

It's just a hexedit of a free demo, i don't see how The Powers would dislike it.
Writing this is less illegal than if i wrote a how-to about overspeeding at the highway!

Haha, your right, let me cover that part.
How to overspeed on a highway by Senna for dummies:
1. make sure your on a highway
2. shift up till your in fifth gear
3. step on the most right pedal
4. keep doing that untill the speedo points 290 degrees downwards
5. tap yourself on the back, you did it!
note: while doing this, try to avoid hitting too much moving objects. The damage to your own car can be severe, and will probably not be covered by your insurance company.

ah, now i understand.
Everytime i'm going off to overspeed on the highway, i put it in 'R' from racemode.
My car gains so much power that i broke 3 gearboxes and 2 engines

Isn't "R" supose to mean "Rally" mode?
