175 on a 7J?!?!?
I thought Oldskulls 185s already looked to small lol
Check out the pictures in oldskulls project thread to see how 185 looks on these rimms.

175 on a 7J will give you the stretched look but i it's only for show i assume? I think it will drive very bad. I also have my doubts about the look of it, because it's sooo small...

"ze" germans put 175/55x13's on 13x8 rims...never driven on a car with stretched tyres, but if they have worse grip than my current 185 profile tyres, then no thanks.

You'll regret those words when you wrap it round a tree because you didnt have enough grip to make an evasive manouvre (or just making it through a slippery corner).
Personally, I like my car to slide only when I push it to do so. Also, lack of grip will also manifest itself in the front of the car.
Although a great ae86 drifter like ueo drives almost exclusively on 185/60 tyres, you have to keep in mind that those are semislicks.
