so,i found this car yesterday,i think its even rarer then the ae86 Smile
its a hyundai pony type 2 from 1986(i think one of the 3 left in the netherlands)
it has the rear axle from toyota corolla sr5(original!)and the steering elements from the toyota corolla ke/te71,the engine is from mitsubishi(1969>1979)so hyundai used several parts to make the first hyundai>the PONY Cheerleader Cheerleader
engine is a 1200cc 8 valver with only 74000km on the clock Shocked
it has some rust on the doors an under the hood(struth mount?)
one headlight is rusty, and some dents at the side
only thing... it isnt gonna be a drifter Very Happy
i bought it from a old lady 78year old and she got it from a 86year old man that was too old to drive Wink
the interior is like new, even the trunk is rust free, and the spare tire and tools are never used Embarassed
i want to restore this car to new,my mom is gonne drive to her work 2 times a week, and thats it.

i work at the local hyundai dealer as a mecanic, but still the parts are hard to find Shocked ,i already have two new front fenders, but i need a headlight(left side) maybe the australian dudes got something for me??

anyway here are some pics Thumbsup

Great Jasper! A good friend of mine has a Pony type I (not joking, he really does) he found some parts at a Hyundai dealer in Brabant.

That dealership wanted to restore a Pony I and put it in the showroom but they couldn't find one so they restored a Pony II. They might have some parts Smile

I think that Starion needs a better home. Like, mine.
Hey, if you pull the engine, give me the shell and I'll stuff a V8 in it.

Nice find on the Pony though! I haven't seen one of those in years.
