So i found this shop today (www.ultrarev.com) and they have some cheap ass coilover sets..

http://www.ultrarev.com/Ksport_Kontrol_Pro_Damp..._1987-p31351.html

Ksport Kontrol Pro Damper Coilover System Toyota Corolla (AE86) 1983-1987 #CTY07-KP

AE86 : Technical > Ksport What about theese coilovers Cheap

Key Features:

* 36-way adjustable dampening
* Made from high quality 6061 Aluminum with T6 for increased hardness
* Compression/Rebound adjustable
* Adjustable spring perch for height adjustment
* Adjustable body allowing maximum suspension travel
* Pillow Ball Top Mount w/ adjustable camber (not available for some models)
* Monotube High Pressure Design reduces oil leakage
* Electroplated body for protection from corrosion and rust
* One Year Limited Warranty

Price: $858.00

?? 650 eur for 4 coilovers with camber adjusters? what am i missing here?

they also have 2 more expensive kits:

http://www.ultrarev.com/Ksport_Slide_Kontrol_Dr..._1987-p31400.html

http://www.ultrarev.com/Ksport_Version_RR_Dampe..._1987-p31909.html

@1000$ and 1200$, which is again not so expensive for a full coilover set..

so whats up whit theese? anyone tried them yet?

A friend with Chrysler Neon purchased K-Sports. They were cheap, he was satisfied. The car is used only for amateur track race. Recently he damaged one strut (lost turn on the track) and the replacement insert came less than 2 months after purchase.

Driftworks.com and Apexperformance.co.uk do deals with K-Sport: have a look there for reviews... AFAIK most are more than satisfied with theire products (think they are made by another big company that does some of the big brands too) Wink

I wonder what shipping would do for these things... They look pretty good.
Also wondering what they got for the rear and if they are also coilovers, if modifications are needed...

i've read on driftwork.com, they can suply theese coilover sets for other brands too. where is driftworks' shop located? GB? coz that would put those coilovers closer to us, and real close to you mux Smile

btw, as you can see from the pic, the rear set is coilovers also. this really doesnt look that bad, and for the price they just might get on my to-buy list. net some positive feedback first..

I have Ksport coilover in my car, works fine but are very stiff! standard spring rate is 7kg front and 5kg rear, but you can change it when you buy....

Now ksport just start to sold 2way coilovers... is a good option.

If you want ask here http://www.kdperformance.com/ is a Ksport dealer for Spain, 200% good seller. info@kdperformance.com .Ask for "Kike" and said that I tell you the email... Is my friend and I´m sure you will have the best attention...

you can see my pic in the signature? Grey CTR, SW20, Integra, and AE86... all with Ksport and all happy

Regards

ummmmm the real kit for ae86 is this...

AE86 : Technical > Ksport What about theese coilovers Cheap but whitout panhard.

Rear shock are threaded to intall coilover spring in the future if you want.... But when you buy the spring is standard not coilover.... because for put coilover need reinforcement the chasis.

Abe, do you have pictures with it installed on your car?

From the looks of it some alterations to the front strut will be needed aswell?

Allready thought the earlier picture was setup from another car:D

Abe much tanks for your opinion on the shocks. I also thought those were CO-s for some other car couse of the shape of the attached bracket. Thought might still be 4 coilovers. Hey is that top mount camber adjustable or not? Coz it says on the page it might not be availible for some cars..

one sideline qustion, how much is the highest ride height with theese Coilovers, compared to stock? and how much lowering can they do. And if the rears ar not height adjustable, what good does it do to have fronts adjustable?

Sorry I don't have good pics from my coilovers... dont need changes in the front strut to intall it and yes, have adjustable camber mounts.

AE86 : Technical > Ksport What about theese coilovers Cheap

AE86 : Technical > Ksport What about theese coilovers Cheap

AE86 : Technical > Ksport What about theese coilovers Cheap

Front can adjust de height arround 0 to -7cm of Standard...
Rear aren't adjustable when you buy it and down arroun 4cm but the rear shock are threaded to install coiloverspring if you want... but need buy it and reinforcment the chasis...

you can see the change of heicht here... around 4-5cm in all wheels.

FYI, you may want to email K-Sport or a K-Sport dealer, as I think they changed/added a fully adjustable rear coilover setup for the AE86 chassis in the last year or so.

And also not in a factory by two brothers, but back in Korea or Taiwan by a huge labourforce.

The specs on these dampers are amazing..problems I've heard about them is that they can deliver such specs because they make use of very standardised parts..that means the AE86 dampers are the same as the S13/S14 dampers etc etc. You get very high specification parts that are not really tuned to the car. In the past this has caused problems..early adapters had wacky springrates, too long shock lengths etc etc, but maybe they've ironed out most of these glitches..Its only to be expected. They put a a productline for about every car out there in just a couple of years. Other companies have taken ages to get to that point, testing and collecting knowledge along the way.

Dunno..the specs have me interested, but I would never buy a set without having driven an ae86 with it installed.
