My Hachi still in bits Crying or Very sad not the best way to spend the summer. No drift events since october last year - it sucks.

Big pile of parts ready to rebuild with when the shell is done - but that is now 3 months behind schedule so I really hope it speeds up soon - its not a joke anymore.

Still - seems I'm not the only one with a car in bits.

My car makes loads of noise and as always, gets the shit kicked out of it all the time. haha.

Its not in bits but im in the process of new stuff hopefully to be completed throughout the month of June but money is forever the issue.. New wheels, Goodline Wings and Bonnet, new Coilovers to replace the tired ones, new intake manifold once i get a 20v TPS and plug. Also want a few more suspension bits to finish the footwork (lower arms mainly) and then i just need to drive, drive and drive to get more competative.

Will get the car painted soon and hopefully sort the many dents and scrapes it has also.

Does anyone have a set of uprated cams knocking about for cheap? 304/288 would be nice!

paz with those cams you'll lose everything below 5k rpm making the car very jumpy and not relaxed.!

Ive had em in one of my engines before, and they were fine. The idle was lumpy but i had no problems starting or driving in traffic etc. You can only run roughly a maximum of 8.5mm lift (on the stock head) anyway so its never gonna be too bad. Plus, anyone whos been in my car with me can atest, im a) usually never below 5,000rpm and b) not relaxed. haha.

Thats the Plan Paz, getting the UK corolla out ASAP (money depending), bring her over to Ireland & swop all the suspension off the Jap Levin, exhaust strut braces etc, then sell it when the Jblood project is underway and buy all new components, suspension, cage, VEMS, all the finishing touches.
Was suppose to Jig the UK 86 this week but I sort of blew all the money on a serious booze up of a weekend in York Stupid
Seriously, what a muppet

If you want to see 86s, you must go to a Rally in Ireland, 100s of em, If you going to Dublin though best thing to do is catch a drift event at Mondello race circuit, try www.racershaven.com or www.cruisirl.com www.irishcoupes.com

Alright lads, nice to see there's quite a few of us being kept busy with stripped cars !.I also haven't driven mine since last October, decided to build something decent after having some problems last time out.

Anyway, I often wish I never started since its taking so long, most of my wages and any social life I used to have !.I work every hour I can to pay for all the parts and so Im not left with a whole lot of time to actually get stuck into the car, vicous circle really Stupid

Here's some pics to show the progress, I've done all the work myself except for the cage where I had some help from a fellow prodrift driver. Its the first time I've ever done anything like this so it might not be the neatest job ever seen on here Wave

I agree - the first shot from the back of the car shows me a liddle s2000 gear shifter pokin through the new tunnel.

How is your clearance round the steering rack and column man ? is it this tight ?

I reckon I'm gonna have to ditch the ps.

Any tips ? maybe we can help each other along ? I also have to get a custom exhaust header/manifold made - I'm guessin you do too. Maybe it will help to reduce the costs a little if we need 2 doing.
