DONT buy it in the UK unless you are loaded.

Your best bet would be a car from continental europe...way cheaper than the english cars.. But the english cars often tend to be imports with some mods done to them already. I suspect it wont be cheap to buy an 86 there that fits the bill for just drifting the shit out of it.

Can't you make a deal with your work to get your (or another) car shipped to the UK and after you go back ship it back where you came from?
Not sure how that would work with importing and later on exporting it though....

Well, I guess it depends. In Denmark you get your tax back, but here in Holland you don't. So reimporting the same car into Holland would save you some BPM and you will get your old licenseplate back. Dunno about other countries though.
Anyway: where are you initially from?

i am american...living in iceland, drifted with team hinga in japan.
i am already shipping the family car. so i am not allotted any more. that means i have to find an 86 in the local area. which sucks. but i should be able to ship the 86 out of the UK. so i want one to build up.
